I've been where you are. That's exactly why this works.

For years I was the bloke in the suit who let himself go. I was a corporate manager, working long hours, eating whatever was quick, telling myself I'd sort my health out once things calmed down. They never did. I was carrying weight I wasn't comfortable with, I was exhausted, and somewhere along the way I'd lost the confident version of myself I used to recognise in the mirror.

What turned it around wasn't a crash diet or some punishing bootcamp. It was small, sustainable changes that fit around a full life, and the realisation that I felt better, slept better and showed up better for the people I loved. That change ran so deep that eight years ago I retrained, qualified properly, and started doing this for a living. Best decision I ever made.

I'm really unfit and out of shape — am I too far gone to start?

Not even close, and this is the single most common worry I hear. Most people who come to me haven't trained properly in years, feel self-conscious, and have convinced themselves everyone else will be fitter. You won't be the exception, you'll be the norm. We start exactly where you are, at a pace that feels challenging but never humiliating, and build from there. The private studio means no crowded gym floor and nobody watching. The hardest part is sending the first message — everything after that, we do together.

I genuinely don't have time — will this actually fit around my life?

This is the whole point of how I coach. My clients are busy professionals and parents in Solihull, Shirley, Knowle and beyond, most juggling demanding jobs, school runs and the lot. Programmes are built around your real week, not a fantasy one. That might mean three focused sessions, training at home during nap times, or hotel-gym workouts while you travel. I've tried before and nothing stuck. Why would this be different?

Because most things that fail aren't your fault — they're built to fail. Crash diets, punishing bootcamps and generic apps ignore the fact you have a busy, real life. My approach combines a realistic training programme, simple nutrition habits you can actually keep, and a weekly accountability check-in so you never drift off quietly. That weekly support is the difference between another false start and finally making it stick. After 8+ years and 200+ local clients, I know which one builds lasting change.

Do I need to join a gym or buy loads of equipment?

No. For 1:1 and small-group coaching, everything happens at my private studio near Solihull town centre — fully equipped, no separate gym membership needed. For online coaching, we work with what you've got, whether that's a local gym in Olton or Hall Green, a few bits at home, or nothing but space and bodyweight to start. I'll never ask you to kit out a home gym before you've even begun. We build the plan around your situation, not the other way round.

I've got specific dietary needs — can you still help with nutrition?

Absolutely. As a Level 4 Nutrition Coach, I work with all sorts — vegetarians, vegans, halal, allergies, fussy eaters, and people who simply hate the idea of weighing every meal. There are no banned-food lists and no joyless meal plans. We build simple, flexible habits around the food you actually enjoy and the way your family eats. The goal is something you can keep doing for life, not a two-week punishment you abandon by the weekend.

How quickly will I see results?

Most people feel a difference within the first two to three weeks — more energy, better sleep, clothes sitting a little easier — before the scales or the mirror catch up. Visible physical changes typically build over the first 8 to 12 weeks of consistent work. I'll be honest with you: anyone promising a dramatic transformation in days is selling you a fad. We're after steady, lasting change you keep for good, not a quick spike you lose by spring.

Is online coaching as good as training in person?

For a lot of people it's actually a better fit, especially if your diary is unpredictable. You get the same personalised programming, expert guidance and weekly accountability — just delivered through a simple app and WhatsApp instead of in the studio. Video technique reviews mean I can check your form and keep you safe even when I'm not in the room. If you want hands-on coaching, or you're brand new and want that reassurance, 1:1 in-studio may suit you better. The easiest way to decide is a quick WhatsApp chat.
